First Vacation of the Year

Next week, on Friday, will be my first vacation in a couple years, as well as the first one this year. I will be going to one of my cousin’s graduation party. She lives in another state so I will be traveling about 6 hours to get there.

My dad is going as well, which is nice because I don’t have to pay for train or bus tickets for myself.

I haven’t been up to visit them in years, and I haven’t been to that area in years as well, so this trip will be good for me. I can’t wait to go. I love to travel, so I am really excited to be going on this trip.

My cousin is graduating from high school. I don’t know what college she will be going to, but I’m sure I will find out soon enough.

I graduated from high school nine years ago. I can’t believe it’s been that long already. time has gone by fast.

So, I am looking forward to the first of hopefully many trips for me. I can’t wait to see family and friends this summer.

Well, that’s all for now. More to come later.

Summer Has Officially Started

Yesterday was my last day of school for the semester, which means summer!!!

I liked school, but I am happy this semester is over. I took a Nutrition class, which was on Thursdays from 9 to 11 am. I didn’t miss any class, and was able to hand in the work in on time. I believe I did well, which is nice. It shows me that I can do anything I put my mind to. And that I can do well in school.

With all that, I am glad school is over for the summer. I am not a morning person, and I really do not like getting up early. Especially before 9:30. I do not drive yet, so I have to take the bus to and from school. To get to school on time, I have to wake up around 7 am, and leave just before 8 am. I tend to stay up late (usually around 2 or 3 am), so this is not a great sleep/waking schedule for me.

I do try to go to bed early, but it’s just hard for me. I am a big night owl by nature. I tend to be more “active” in the evening and night. I read, listen to music, watch TV/a movie, and a few other things.

After class yesterday, I signed up for fall classes. I will be taking a Food Sanitation & Safety class on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6 to 6:50 pm. That works better for me, as I don’t have to wake up early to get to class.

I am looking forward to class, but I want to enjoy summer first. I have one definite thing going on so far. On May 31st, I am going to Wisconsin to go to a cousin’s graduation party. I haven’t been to that part of Wisconsin in ages, so I am really looking forward to it. Plus, I haven’t seen my cousins in a while.

I love traveling, so this trip is perfect for me. Plus, my dad told me he is willing to go with on this trip, so I am happy about not having to pay for transportation. Buses, trains and cabs are expensive, and since I don’t have a job yet, I can’t exactly pay for transportation myself.

I also hope to be able to go to a festival down state, which I have gone to twice before. It is so much fun, and I really hope I can go. A friend of my has a family friend who lives in the town where the fest is held, so that is how I was able to go. The fest is around the middle of July.

Other than that, I don’t really have any other “fun” things planned. Of course, anything can happen been now and the end of the summer, and I am always up for spontaneous adventures.

Well, that’s all for now. More to come soon.
